SHOP FOR A HOME
Once you have completed all the preparations discussed in the previous steps, it’s time to get in the car and begin your search.
5.1 Narrow Your Search
If you have not done so already, drive around towns of interest and go to public open houses to freely walk through homes in different price ranges. This will help you decide upon which town(s) you like best along with getting a feel for the types of houses, neighborhoods and price range that best suits your needs and desires. Working with a REALTOR is a partnership. It’s important you narrow down your search to a couple or so towns. It’s hard when a home buyer says, for example, “I’d like to live somewhere in Essex county for under $500,000″.
We will help you prioritize your the wants and needs you have for a home as you select homes to tour. When you attend a public open house, always just write down our name along with the name of our real estate agency Towne Realty Group, not your name and contact information. Whether it’s a For Sale by Owner or a property listed by another real estate agency, we will always be the one to make the showing appointment for you. Each tour will help you and us understand what really works for you.
5.2 Time to Buy
Once you have selected the property you want to buy, we will help you prepare a competitive offer. As your Real Estate Concierge, we will provide comparable home information, advise you on having a strong pre-approval, inclusions/exclusions, and help you determine the best dates for deposits, inspections, mortgage commitment, and closing.
